Longford Striders Coventry was established in 2021 to create a friendly, inclusive and safe running group in Coventry and the surrounding areas, providing a local option for those looking to join a supportive running community. As part of the England Athletics RunTogether programme, we deliver well-organised sessions led by a qualified coach, supported by trained Run Leaders and experienced group helpers.
We welcome runners of all abilities, whether you attend regularly, drop in when you can, or run alongside another running club in Coventry or nearby areas. Our weekly FREE Sunday Social 5K, including a run/walk Jeffing option, offers an accessible way for beginners and improvers to get started, stay active, and enjoy running as part of a community.
Alongside this, our coached sessions and structured running programmes are designed for those looking to build consistency, develop confidence, and progress their running. From Couch to 5K in Coventry through to our Couch to 5K Plus programme, we provide clear, supportive pathways for runners ready to take the next step.
